Final Scores
This contest is for 6" and 8" Free Flight Hand
Launch
(HLG) and Catapult Launched (CLG) Gliders.
Rules
-
- Only limitations on models are wingspans
of
8" or 6".
This allows lots of scope for design variations.
- Each entry consists of Five consecutive flights. The highest and lowest flight
times of the five are discarded and the total of the
intermediate three flight
times counted. No maximum individual flight time.
- A contestant may make multiple entries. Only the highest flight string from each
individual counts.
In
other words, if your new string of times exceeds your previous
scores your new string will
count and your earlier scores are discarded. If they do not, your
previous best score counts. This will give
you the opportunity for one entry only to count ie. your best score string!
- Launches must be made on relatively flat ground
--- no slope soaring launches!!
- Launches must be made from ground level ---
no launching from elevated platforms such as Fire Towers, Shopping Mall
levels or balloon assisted launches. Please abide by the spirit
of the rules and refrain from rule bending.
- No restriction on rubber for the catapult launch
other than the device should be hand held.

date is August 4, 2006
